The Mill @ Mellis
Proudly family-run since 2010
The old mill is a beautiful building in the heart of Mellis, Suffolk. Built in 1842 it was originally a Maltings - working grain mill that stands on the site on a natural well. This well provided water which was then used to flood the cleverly designed cellar floors, soaking the grain and allowing it to swell before it was weighed into sacks, raised on chains and pulleys and sent off to market. It was later occupied by Hovis, but time has passed and is now the home to the family-run furniture and home accessories business you see today.

"Off the beaten track furniture shop with a superb range of wonderful furniture and household items that would look good in any house, period or modern. For the beauty and quality of the furniture, the prices were also pleasantly decent. Well worth a trip." -
